Brave New World
The flute is widely known for its beauty, but this program explores a darker side of its voice. In this performance, five flute players come together to explore themes of identity, genocide, sexual violence, and redemption.
20% of the proceeds from this show will go to the Oregon Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence.

PROGRAM NOTES
About a year ago, Ron Blessinger approached me about doing a flute show for 45th Parallel. I immediately said yes without giving it too much thought, but a day later I wanted to know what exactly he meant. Were we talking about a cute program with flute choir tunes, or something with edge and bite? Definitely edge and bite, he responded.
