Could there be a better way to end this celebration than with a piece named Fiesta? Jimmy Lopez, born in Peru in 1978, has been hailed by the Chicago Sun-Times as “one of the most interesting young composers anywhere today.” His orchestral works have been performed by many prestigious groups throughout the world and he has received numerous awards, grants, and fellowships. We are thrilled to present the final movement, Techno, which ends our Big Bang concert with orchestral pyrotechnics – an actual bang, if you will. Enjoy!
