45^th Parallel Universe, a collective of Portland-based classical musicians, seeks its first-ever, full-time Executive Director. The classical music chamber ensemble, composed exclusively of Oregon Symphony Orchestra musicians, is growing rapidly with ambitious goals to share its unique musical sensibility with the Portland metro region and state. For over a decade, the collective has served as a creative outlet for the city’s finest musicians seeking to explore innovative musical formats, artistic partnerships, and unconventional performance venues. Now, in its 14th year, the ensemble requires the skills and experience of a seasoned arts administrator to strategically grow the organization and its impact.

Candidate Profile

Seeking a charismatic individual with a strong passion for classical music and a solid arts administration background. The ideal candidate has expertise in budgeting, fundraising, grant writing, marketing and audience development. They will be a professional leader with a cooperative spirit who can collaborate with a variety of constituents including the Board of Directors and the co-op of musicians.
